Looking for Adopt-A-Trail Trailblazers’ Team Members

We have 485kms of snowmobile trails we maintain and groom on the Whitecourt trail system.   Many of our members have helped out in the past and we thank you for that.  We currently have a wonderful list of team members who take a section every year and help us out with the cleaning.  Unfortunately, we need more help to complete our trail cleaning.  Before we can push snow or groom, we have to clean debris from the trail.  We ask folks to let us know if there are some fallen trees that are troublesome to remove, and we will make sure to have experienced chainsaw members or hire a crew to complete the clean.  In addition, we do know there are some unsung heroes that clean throughout the year, without being on a list and we do appreciate you as well.  It's a lot of work as you are aware.  We are always looking for more helpers and because we have many folks who are shift workers and want to clean the trails during the week, we have areas sectioned off with some people managing them outside the weekends, when they can help out.  Please let us know if you are able to join a crew or you would like a specific trail.  We clean from October to December annually.

Thank you to those folks who have already been out and completed their section.  Hopefully we can avoid those high winds this coming season.  Please contact one of our trail bosses if you have any questions and/or we will be sure to match you up with a group or a trail.  Don Price - 780-779-3410, Doug Hays: 780-706-8005 or David MacLeod 780-706-0931.  Thanks a bunch to our Trail Bosses who carry a great deal of the cleaning and work on the trails.
