Celebrating Volunteer Week – April 16-22, 2023

We love our volunteers, without them, there would be no snowmobile club.  A big “Thank you to Everyone” who helps us out throughout our snowmobile season and outside of the season.  We appreciate you all!

Thank you to the Town of Whitecourt for helping us to celebrate our volunteers; we were given 25 coffee cards to hand out to our hard working volunteers.  We had a year end meeting last week and handed them out to volunteers who attended.   In addition, we made our year end “Meeting Attendance Draw” –  Congratulations to Doug Hay who is the winner of our $100 fuel card.  We appreciate everyone who attends our meetings and helps guide us with the Club and Trails.

FYI:  We had over 4000 Club hours with 3000 being volunteer hours for the 2022/2023 season.   Our Volunteer Hours include – Casino, ASA Sled Show, trail cleaning, facility repairs, facility fall cleanup, wood splitting, new construction and transportation of buildings, grooming, special trail projects, snowcat maintenance, signage, trail and project inspections, Xmas Party, Club rides, all Executive Team hours working and attending meetings and other events.

Season Wrap Up Meeting/Social – April 13th

Apr07

Happy Easter everyone!

We would like to celebrate our season with a windup at the Lava Lounge at the Ramada Inn (Rivers Hotel) on Thursday, April 13th – 7:00pm for appies and beverages. Join us and tell us about your adventures this past winter.

We will have a quick meeting and make the draw for the $100 Fuel Card for attending our meetings this season. Come and enter to win.

We have a few positions that are open on our Executive and we would love to chat with you about them. Please contact us for more information. President (Roxanne is stepping into Past President), Vice President (Jordan is hoping to change his position), Trail Boss, Safety and Industry Liaison positions are open. Our AGM with Elections will be held in September.

Thank you to everyone who attends our General Meetings and provides input. We have had some very good “Blue Sky” discussions, where you can bring up items for discussion which then lead to further discussions, review and direction by the Club. One item that came out of “Blue Sky” is we will be changing our meeting nights to the second Thursday of the month next year. We are hoping to see more members able to attend.
