What a season we have had! Thank you to Mother Nature! Both staging area gates have been locked. Have a wonderful summer everyone and see you next year!!
Pretty hard to believe we are still able to sled. We received 2-3″ of fresh snow this past week, but it is going fast. South Side: Summit to Manweiler and Bessie Creek, Shiningbank Lookout to Tom Hill trails still in great shape. Northern areas still have lots of snow as well. South facing hills and areas are starting to see bare patches, beware of rocks and debris. Please stage from staging areas. Extreme Spring conditions- Be cautious. OHV Bylaw in effect – Unlawful in town- April 1st. All gates are closed.
Thank you to all of our volunteers. This past season we have logged over 3300 hours. YOU ARE ALL AWESOME!!
Unfortunately, there is damage to our Summit Cabin porch roof and it will require repairs. Please do not enter the cabin area until the repairs have been completed. Thank you for your attention.
Trails are in great shape for “snowmobiles”!! We received a small amount of fresh snow this week. It is recommended to start from our staging areas – Groat Creek and Eagle River. South side trails were groomed a week ago and the North side were groomed a month ago. Please note that the Summit Trail is closed (from the left turn off at the Bessie Creek/Manweiler Trail to the Summit Cabin) due to Logging Industry. Reminder to use extreme caution on all waterways. Whitecourt’s OHV Bylaw allows for seasonal vehicles between December 1 and March 31, therefore at this time, all gates are locked. If you are heading out on the trails, don’t forget to get your ASA Trail/Day Pass, which supports grooming and maintenance on our trails: IGA, Esso at Kanata RPM Powersports Ltd., Adrenaline Powersports Ltd and First Choice Truck and Car Wash
It’s April and we are still sledding!!
Trails are in Super form. We groomed from the Bessie Creek, Manweiler to the Summit Cabin and then to Shiningbank Lookout and Tom Hill Tower. Back on the Goodwin Trail. Reminder that the Summit Trail is closed due to Logging Industry. The North side has not been groomed, but is still in great shape. Beware on all waterways. It is also recommended to use our Staging Areas to get out on our trails.
